David was born on the Island of Mull in the Inner Hebrides, as so many modern young islanders, he felt it necessary to leave the islands and move the mainland. To Edinburgh. David's tale may be a sad reminder of the plight of the economic desolation of the Highlands and Islands, but his music tells a different story. His is a gentle weirdness - the finer moments of the classical, the brash, the reflective and the odd all mashed up together into a giant cake of musical cool and sophistication. Like Prefuse 73 and Boom Bip for people who should know better.
