I Don't disagree with you Taylor, but there was certainly a weight of label expectation on them to become much bigger than they did. Let's be honest they are 100x better than coldplay with 1 millionth of the attention...
Given that More Adventurous was picked up by Warners last year, it seems things are only looking up for Rilo Kiley. Don't spread silly rumors -- Jenny's obviously capitalizing on her terrific success alongside the Postal Service guys. If anything this should get more people to find out about her other band.
It's almost like you're wishing them to have broken up, but why?
Ok Ok, I'll edit the post. I much personally much prefer Jenny's solo work - although I do also like Rilo Kiley (Postal service - less so). I don't think of R.K. as failures at all. I do think think that they were expected to achieve bigger things than they did and that may or may not have given jenny Lewis more time to persue her own projects.
There's obviously a lot of strong feeling about this band...

And anyway, wouldn't "100x better than coldplay with 1 millionth of the attention" be a good short definition of "indie" ? ;-)
