I think we got away with it?

Last night, we rocked. And rolled. Then steamed. And staggered. I don't think there's ever been a show when both of us felt as bad as we did today. But you, dear listener, were there with us, carrying us on your shoulders. And by the end, we began to feel almost human again. So...thanks. You're our best mate you are, you're like faaaaamily, we love you.
Tonight we do it all again at Fleda to celebrate RadioStudent107's 1st birthday. Wow, a whole year - and already talking. We'll no doubt play some of the top tunery we showcased on today's show, which you can find at:

As always, see you next sunday, 2 til 4pm, the C, the E, the T.

It's a strange strange world.

Today's show was a little bit of an odd one even for our own standards, on thursday night we had a crew meeting to check over how the show was shaping up and mepaul and I had to admit that it was tough getting material together for some reason. probably solar flares slowing down the diychartshow's intertubery drive. these happen sometimes.

SOLAR FLARE (Thursday)

But in the end I think even the forum pundits will agree we managed to pull out a show worthy of the name DIY!

the highlights for me being D.A.F which we plucked from the evergreen http://www.20jazzfunkgreats.blogspot.com. I had convinced myself a while ago that there must be some early eighties underground(ish) electro music that was somehow just passing me by... well there was. and D.A.F was it. cracking dancable fun electro to raise a smile even on the face of a depeche fan. check out the links and the rest of the playlist here

The forage into the weird mind of napoleon XVI courtesy of MePaul's featured artist of the week, was a welcome break from the drudgery of sanity. check out this weeks featured artist here

please keep your suggestions coming: FORUM and we're also welcoming your concert reviews at the moment.

Thanks for the support and hope to see you on next's week's thrilling episode of the DIY Chart Show.

The stone has rolled away!

We had so much fun with today's show. It included a wee retrospective of 80's hiphop including the sugarhill gang, grandmaster flash, eric b and rakim, the ultramagnetic mc's and public enemy.

we also had some cover version fun with weird and wonderful covers of Love will tear us apart again and smells like teen spirit.

Today's chocolate bar was the Delissa XXL!!

Today's chirpy cockey wink and a swagger was brought to you by...

...a VERY alive MeRobin and MePaul, invigorated and refreshed by our scientific sojourns of the last coupla weeks.

What we mean is, it was good to back and live and chatting with all you lovely interwebbed folks.

And happy birthdays to those who need it.

Next week, more o' da good stuff...and maybe a lil interview for ya? Aren't we the greatest?

Thanks for listening, have a great week.

The Special Show

Last week's live show was sacrificed on the altar of science. Due to long-standing scientific commitments on the part of MePaul (his stunning work on the signs of aging) and MeRobin (his on-going examination of gravity) this show had to be blasted in from the far corners of the globe.

On PlanetBrno where the DIY Chart Show is docked only the chief scientific officer MeLoveYouLongTyme was there to meld the data streams sent by MeRobin and MePaul into one cohesive audio broadcast.

Listeners on the forum seemed to enjoy the scientifically challenged show all the more for the death-defying science of it all.

Featured Artist of the week this week was The Knife

Other striking features of the show was an amazing electro mix at the end of the show by Dr. Dirtzvuk of the Greatest Hits Collective. More information about the songs played on the show is available on the Playlists page.
