10.7.05

Today's show featured Asha Bhosle and Malcolm Middleton. Asha is a real star of Bollywood music from the 60's to today. Known as the enchantress, she's still going strong at the age of 69. today's two track show her ability to rock and her sexier charming side. She has no plans to stop and recently remarked, "Music is like my breathing. The day it stops, my breath will stop too. There is so much to do and I'm afraid there is very little time left. I hope I can continue singing in my next birth." Which is something, I think we can respect - even if we don't believe in reincarnation.

Malcolm Middleton is possibly Scotland's grumpiest and most annoyed poet/ singer/ songwriter - formerly of Arab Strab, he's just released a new solo album "Into the Woods". We love it and will be playing somemore from Malcolm over the up-coming weeks. Malcolm's website contains lots of info and is quite playful and funny - unlike him. check it out www.malcolmmiddleton.com

Preparation for the 10.7.2005

We're still properly awaiting the recovery of MeTom, who is still convalescing after his Croatian Ordeal at the hands of the evil-welsh-topless-valley-girls. We expect him to be fighting fit by Sunday. Music-wise for Sunday, the mining core isn't working as well as normal, so it is hard to give you much of a preview. Although, there are a few gravytrain goldmines out there, which is always a source of top tunes - such as

it's going to be a slightly more uptempo show this week and the mystery of the kidnap of MeTom hopefully will get solved.

Before that though, I'm going to Slavkov http://booyone.nasiti.cz/ to the slafkof open air festival.
